A Follow Up with our Guys’ Night Winner

SONY DSCWe recently interviewed the winner of our Guys’ Night Free Hair Transplant Giveaway, Mr. Brian R., to hear his thoughts regarding his experience with Dr. Clifford Gelman as well as his thoughts on hair loss in general.

When did you first consider Hair Restoration Surgery?

I’ve been thinking about it since I was in my mid 30’s… so about 10 years.  I always imagined that the cost would be prohibitive, so I never investigated it further.

What drove you to seek out Hair Restoration Surgery?

When I saw the advertisement for Dr. Gelman’s “Guys’ Night Out”, I decided to go.  At the very least, I was going to get free beer and snacks so I thought, “Why not?”

What factors do you think drive men and women to seek out Hair Restoration Surgery?

I think most men are at least a little unhappy about their hair loss.  My hair loss isn’t nearly as bad as some guys, but when I see my own profile in photos, it always amazes me how much hair I’ve lost.  When I look in the mirror it doesn’t look so bad, but it looks much more pronounced from a side view. I hope that hair restoration will make me look a little younger. Looking younger will help future employment prospects.

How did you hear about Dr. Gelman?

I saw the advertisement for Guys’ Night Out in the sports section of Florida Today.

Why did you choose Dr. Gelman above the competition?

Well, obviously the fact that I won the hair transplant made it an easy choice.  It was free!  Also, I  asked Dr. Gelman lots of questions about his experience.  He’s only been doing hair transplants for about a year, but he’s been a surgeon in Brevard County for more than 20 years.  I searched him online and I found no complaints or malpractice lawsuits.

How would you describe Dr. Gelman?

He seems like a very nice guy.  My impression of him is that he’s an honest doctor.

Would you recommend Dr. Gelman to your close friends and family members if they were seeking Hair Restoration Surgery?

I’ll wait until July to make that decision.  That’s when Dr. Gelman says that I should expect all the hair to be grown-in. I really wanted the transplants to be done so that my hair line will be more like it was when I was in my early 20’s.  Dr. Gelman said that wouldn’t be a good idea for a guy in his 40’s.  He says that I’ll be happy with what he did once it all grows in.

Are you happy with your overall experience with Gelman Hair Restoration?

Yes, for the most part.  He was easy to deal with, and the surgery wasn’t very painful at all. The staff in his office are friendly too.  As I wrote above, I’m waiting until all the transplants grow before I can say how happy I am about the result.
